Asia Pacific Social Protection Week 2019

The Asia Pacific Social Protection Week 2019 (APSP 2019), a regional knowledge-sharing event, will discuss challenges and opportunities to expand social protection in response to demographic shifts and achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. Global social protection experts and practitioners, representatives from the private sector, development agencies, and civil society organizations are expected to convene in the APSP 2019 to share expertise from within and outside the Asia and Pacific region. The program will cover important issues such as social assistance, sustainable financing, pension reforms, ageing and elderly care, climate change and disaster resilience, use of digital technology for service delivery, and the roles of government leaders and development agencies. APSP will provide a venue for building alliances and networks to strengthen social protection in the Asia and Pacific region.
