Ensuring safe provision of care for older people
Older people face a much higher risk of dying from COVID-19 than the general population, as do those with underlying health conditions.
HelpAge International, Asia Pacific Regional Office with support from Prudence Foundation and International Federation of the Red Cross (IFRC) through SAFE STEPS produced two animations titled ‘Caring for older people: Management of community-based care’ and ‘Caring for older people: Management of residential care’ to provide simple guidelines for care home managers, care providers, staff, volunteers, as well as community leaders to ensure that both carers and older people are protected from COVID-19.
Videos are translated and subtitled in Bahasa Indonesia, Burmese, Khmer, Thai and Vietnamese.
