The summary reports provides best practices and agreed action points for promoting disaster risk reduction (DRR), climate change adaptation (CCA) and emergency response among vulnerable groups by working through community-based institutions of older people in ASEAN countries and Japan.
It advocates for greater emphasis on the heightened vulnerability and specific needs of older people in community-based DRR and CCA and recognises the importance of civil society organisations and older people to work together on DRR and emergency response programs.
