This report examines the opportunities and challenges involved in gathering, analysing and making available to decision-makers, practitioners, and older people themselves, the high quality data needed to ensure the inclusion of older populations in global development plans and policies. It addresses both the potential and the limitations of the data that is currently available and describes the range of indicators needed to inform future policy action for the wellbeing of older people in Bangladesh, China, India and Pakistan.
