Intergenerational Self-Help Club (ISHC) is a model having been implemented for years by HelpAge International (HAI) and its partners in Vietnam. It has been proven to be a good model
that meets olde people’s various needs. The model has been brought into the Vietnam National Action Plan on Ageing 2012 – 2020 which promotes the replication of ISHCs nationwide.
To support the organisation and management of the clubs’ activities in communities, HelpAge in Vietnam and partners produce a series of materials on ISHCs. There are eight manuals published in Vietnamese. This manual is the first one of the series that was translated into English. It provides overview of the ISHC model and step-by-step guideline on establishment and management of a club.
